PROGRAM – DECEMBER 2019 & JANUARY 2020
Welcome to the combined December 2019 and January 2020 bus program. The staff and Meeting House Committee would like to wish you all a happy and safe time over the Christmas holiday period. Please note our office will be closed Monday 23rd December 2019 and will reopen on Thursday 2nd January 2020.
IMPORTANT INFORMATION: From July we will lose funding from The Department of Health and will therefore no longer be able to offer shopping on a Tuesday (still available Thursday), home visits and the monthly friendship group. We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause. We are however looking at other funding options and will keep our clients informed.
Amber and volunteers are available for home visits (social and light domestic). If you would like to book please phone the office on 9427 1841.
Please note that there will be someone in our office to take your calls Monday to Friday between 9.30am and 3.30pm. If we miss your call please leave a message and a member of staff will get back to you at the end of the day.
INFORMATION FOR NEW MEMBERS – booking procedures
The way the program works is – you call the Meeting House and book the trips you wish to attend. You then call us again the day before your trip and we will give you the time Robert will pick you up. Robert will pick you up and drop you off from your home. If you have any queries please phone Jane or Trish and we can help you.

CROCHET/CRAFT SOCIAL GROUP
Come and join Amber and this friendly group who meet at The Meeting House Neighbourhood Centre in Stokes Street on a monthly basis. The next meeting will take place on Monday 2nd December between 10:00am – 12noon. The cost is $10 per person – Morning tea is provided together with crochet tuition and assistance with other available crafts (i.e. cross stitch, bead work). Members are required to provide their own materials & equipment. For further information please contact Amber on 9427 1841.

THE MEETING HOUSE CAN ASSIST YOU WITH SHOPPING AND OTHER SERVICES?
The Meeting House runs a door to door weekly shopping service to Lane Cove Plaza on a Tuesday and a Thursday. Robert will pick you up at home at a specified time and drop you in Lane Cove wherever you need to go. Your shopping will then be carried for you into your home. The service runs for approximately 2 hours and costs just $12.00. There are limited spaces available and bookings are essential – please call 9427 1841.
DO YOU NEED HELP PAYING BILLS?
Robert or Jane can also assist you with paying your bills at the Bank or Post Office. Alternatively, if you cannot make the shopping trip we can pay the bills for you!! Just call the office to arrange this service. If you are concerned and need assistance – we are at the end of the phone.
