Flower Power – Smorgasbord

Firstly, we will visit the Flower Power nursery in Enfield for morning tea and shopping then it’s on to Canterbury R.S.L. Club for smorgasbord lunch.

FRIENDSHIP GROUP

Come and join Jane at The Meeting House 47 Burns Bay Road, Lane Cove (opposite Coles) for a cup of tea and chat. This social group meets on the first Thursday of the month. This month’s meeting will be held on Thursday 3rd May 10:30am – 12:30pm.

Morning tea at Pancakes with time for a driving tour of the Rocks.

Dinner at an inner city pub followed by a tour of the city by night.

CROCHET/CRAFT SOCIAL GROUP

Come and join Amber and this friendly group who meet at The Meeting House Neighbourhood Centre in Stokes Street on a monthly basis. The next meeting will take place on Wednesday 9th May between 10:00am – 12noon. The cost is $10 per person – Morning tea is provided together with crochet tuition and assistance with other available crafts (i.e. cross stitch, bead work). Members are required to provide their own materials & equipment.

Devonshire Tea in the café at Eden Gardens nursery with plenty of time to shop for plants or browse in the ornamental garden.

Movie Lunch – The Guernsey Literary & Potato Peel Pie Society

Based on the novel by Mary Ann Shaffer this British drama starring Lily James is based on the Isle of Guernsey after World War II. Trivia and the Wurlitzer Organ before the film. Basket lunch served in your seat after.

Morning Tea – Ballast Point

Morning tea in historic Balmain at Ballast Point. Time for a stroll and then a drive around Balmain.

Wednesday 23rd May
Hacking River Cruise

Boarding the vessel “Tom Thumb” at Cronulla we travel along the Hacking River as far as Audley and back for a 3 hour cruise. Afternoon tea at Carrs Park, Kogarah Bay.

Archibald Prize – Shakespeare Hotel

Plenty of time to view this year’s Archibald Prize at the Art Gallery before lunch at the Shakespeare Hotel in Surry Hills.
